Hi, I’m Debjit Das — Founder of PottPlant
I started PottPlant with a very simple belief: a small plant can change the way you live, breathe, and feel — no matter where you work or stay.
For years, like many young Indians, I worked long hours on a screen. My workspace felt dry, stressful, and disconnected from nature. Something was always missing.
One day, I placed a small indoor plant on my desk. That single moment planted a new idea in my heart.
The air felt lighter.
My stress reduced.
And for the first time, my desk felt like my own peaceful corner.
This experience stayed with me.
But PottPlant is not only for IT employees — it’s for every Indian home.
India is now facing extreme air pollution. The air inside our homes is often more polluted than the outside because of:
- dust and smoke
- chemicals from cleaning products
- lack of ventilation
- city pollution entering rooms
And in a country where flats are small, windows face other buildings, and sunlight is limited — we all need indoor plants more than ever.
Indoor plants are not “decor.” They are natural air purifiers, stress relievers, and mood enhancers.

How We Do It
I personally select every plant type, every soil mix, and every pot because indoor plants require care. We focus only on plants that:
- survive low light
- grow well in AC rooms
- clean the air naturally
- need very little maintenance
- fit perfectly in small flats & work desks
Every plant is checked, cleaned, and packed with care so it reaches you healthy.
